After a long day traveling through the Boston Commons, we came to the steps of the Liberty Mall.

The stunning, gold-encrusted State House was beckoning two young, inquisitive visitors....

...or maybe it wasn't.

Nonetheless, we made our way through the historic, intricately-designed center of Massachusetts politics...

... even reaching the regal Senate chamber, noted for its statue of the "Sacred Cod."
But as the saying goes, "All politics is local," and we were lucky enough to find the flag of our local town represented in the great Hall of Flags.
Upon exiting the State House, we came upon a bronze statue dedicated to nurse veterans, an inspiring sight for an aspiring nurse.
The inspiring moment faded quickly as we searched for a more immediate need: Food.

Down the street, we were lucky enough to find the one place where "everybody knows your name." (Though in our case, they did not.)
The bread could not have arrived soon enough.
